Governors State University seeks applications for tenure-track faculty positions in Accounting in the College of Business and Public Administration beginning in Fall 2010. The successful candidates will be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in either Taxation or Auditing in addition to at least one of the following: International Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Management Accounting or Financial Accounting.
We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, interest in advising non-traditional or diverse student populations, evidence of a potential or distinguished record of scholarship consistent with tenure-track expectations, and substantive professional service via projects, committees or other leadership roles.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Accounting or equivalent (Ph.D. in Business or DBA, major in Accounting). ABD in final stage of completion, JD/CPA, Master of Accounting plus CPA, Master of Accounting plus CMA will be considered.
- Documented record of teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Knowledge of International Accounting including international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional or managerial experience in the field is highly desirable.
- The ability to develop and teach online (web-based) courses.
- Knowledge of AACSB accreditation requirements.
