IUPUC seeks an outstanding individual with the vision, academic standing, and leadership qualities required to head the Division of Business. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating undergraduate and graduate business programs. We desire candidates with a record of excellence in directing academic programs, as well as a demonstrated commitment to academic leadership, high-quality teaching, and the ability to work across academic units. Candidates are expected to develop an exciting, dynamic, and strategic vision of the division's future, compatible with existing strengths and opportunities. The initial appointment will be January 1, 2011, or later.

The rank of this tenured faculty appointment will be dependent on qualifications and research history. Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Management or related field. The candidate must have a minimum of three years of leadership experience at the level of department/division chair or higher and an established record of scholarly publications and service. The Division Head appointment is a three-year renewable role serving at the pleasure of the Vice Chancellor and Dean. The successful candidate is an engaging, entrepreneurial, and visionary individual who is a team player and collaborative within the division and across the institution.

Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the business program towards AACSB accreditation
* Mentoring and assisting faculty
* Serving as a catalyst for continuous program development and innovation for the undergraduate and MBA programs
* Representing the division on various internal and external committees and boards
* Facilitating engagement opportunities with the business community for faculty and students that reinforces the role of IUPUC as an engaged university
* Oversight of and responsibility for course scheduling and division budget

IUPUC is a growing institution with high potential. A strong, collaborative partnership among Ivy Tech Community College, Purdue University College of Technology, and IUPUC exists and is expected to be enriched. The Columbus Learning Center incorporates resources from IUPUC, Ivy Tech Community College, and Purdue University School of Technology to provide a focal point for community learning. This partnership is the result of a community initiative to expand postsecondary degree opportunities and professional development opportunities for the local workforce, resulting in a seamless continuation of educational opportunities for area residents.

IUPUC is located one hour south of Indianapolis, 1-1/4 hours from Louisville, and 1-1/2 hours from Cincinnati. Columbus is known for its world class architecture, wonderful programs for young children, many parks, excellent philharmonic orchestra, and people trails.
