The Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in Management at the Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2010. An application for a one-year visiting position would also be considered. Approximately 2200 undergraduate students are currently enrolled in the school's programs.

The undergraduate program is AACSB-International accredited. There are currently 41 full-time faculty members in six academic disciplines: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Resort Tourism. The college also offers a MBA program. Regional outreach is accomplished primarily through activities of the College's Coastal Federal Center for Economic and Community Development. The individual hired for this position will have responsibilities in teaching, research and service. The individual will teach undergraduate courses in operations management, statistics, and quantitative methods (forecasting, linear programming, and decision analysis), project management, or quality management. The individual will also have opportunities to teach service operations, or other topics in the MBA program. Currently, the teaching load is six sections per academic year. Research in operations management or other areas resulting in the publication of peer reviewed journal articles, national proceedings, and paper presentations is required. A minimum of two peered reviewed articles in a five-year period is required. The individual will be responsible for advising undergraduate students and working with student organizations, and is expected to engage in service activities with colleagues, the department, college, campus, community and professional organizations.

Ideal applicants should have an earned Ph.D. degree in operations management with a concentration and expertise in service operations and quantitative methods. A.B.D's with a clear plan for completion by December 31, 2010 are also encouraged to apply. A candidate with a completed Ph.D. must have a consistent record of publication in refereed journals. Applicants must have abilities, skills and enthusiasm consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation. They must be interested in using technology in instruction and must demonstrate evidence of communication skills appropriate to a faculty position.
