The Department of Business Administration at Lander University, a public comprehensive university in the upstate region of South Carolina, seeks a full-time tenure-track assistant/associate professor to begin August 2010, January 2011, or August 2011 based on availability of applicants.
Lander offers an undergraduate, AACSB accredited program with emphasis areas in accounting, management/marketing, finance/economics and health care management. Required qualifications: Ideal candidate would have earned DBA or PhD in IS from an AACSB-International accredited institution and be considered Academically/Professionally Qualified under AACSB standards. Interest or experience in strengthening/growing the IS area in an undergraduate program would be a plus.
Lander University is located in Greenwood, SC, with a diversified economy, a variety of public and private schools, 25,000 in the town and approximately 60,000 in the county. The climate is moderate with lush and varied landscapes that include lakes and rivers. Greenwood is located within easy driving distance of Atlanta, Augusta, Charlotte, Greenville, the Blue Ridge Mountains and the South Carolina Coast.
